Sahar Younai, Psy. D., M.S., QEEG-DL
Dr. Younai founded Train of Thought Psychology & Neurofeedback with a desire to provide individuals with the opportunity to benefit from quality integrative personalized psychological care. This next generation of care combines evidence-based therapeutic principles with Applied Neuroscience to make lasting and effective improvements in functioning.
She is a graduate of the Hofstra University, APA Accredited Doctoral School and Community Psychology Program. In addition, she holds a Masters Degree in Rehabilitative Neuropsychology and an Undergraduate degree from UCLA in Psychobiology.
Dr. Younai Completed Dual Post Doctoral Fellowships. Most recently in Community Development & Mental Health Research at the New York Institute of Technology's School of Osteopathic Medicine, Center for Behavioral Health. In addition to a Fellowship in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in working with ADHD in families.
Dr. Younai is recognized by the International QEEG Certification Board as a Licenced Diplomate, in the field of QEEG. Board certification is the mark of distinction for providers of brain imaging and analysis services.
Sahar has worked in various settings including Hospitals, Higher Education, Research, Neuropsychological Rehabilitation, and Elementary Education. In addition to serving as an adjunct professor of child psychology at Mercy College. Her research has been presented at both professional psychology and community events.
She is passionate about helping individuals and families access the best opportunities for health and wholeness.
